FlamingoVPN is built privacy-first. This policy explains the limited data we collect to run the service — and, just as importantly, what we never log.

What we never log

• Your browsing history, the sites you visit, or your DNS queries.
• Your real (originating) IP address tied to your activity.
• The content, destination or timing of traffic sent through the tunnel.
• Bandwidth tied to your identity for the purpose of profiling you.

What we do collect

Account information

When you create an account we store your email address and authentication metadata through our identity provider (Clerk). This is used to sign you in and secure your account.

Subscription & billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and a customer reference. We do not store your full card details — those are handled by Stripe under their PCI-compliant systems.

Aggregated operational metrics

To keep the fleet healthy we collect aggregated, non-identifying metrics such as total server load and connection counts. These are not linked to your browsing or used to profile you.

Diagnostics you choose to send

If you contact support or opt into crash reporting, we may receive device and app-version information to help resolve the issue.

Service providers

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Stripe — subscription billing and payments.
• Convex — application backend and data storage.
• serv.host — VPS infrastructure hosting our VPN servers.

Each processes data only as needed to provide their part of the service.

Data retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active, and as required to meet legal and tax obligations. Operational metrics are retained only in aggregated form. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we are legally required to retain it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] from your account address.

Account deletion

You can request deletion at any time from within the app or by emailing [email protected]. We process deletion requests promptly.

Children

FlamingoVPN is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
